Updated for 2025

The complete UCAT preparation course. Now online in a series of 80+ videos with 6+ hours of content, including mock questions and worked examples.

UCAT Course Overview

I've been running the 6med UCAT Crash Course in classrooms throughout the UK (and also in Singapore, Hong Kong and the Middle East) since 2013. Over the years, I've taught thousands of students how to boost their UCAT score, with incredible reviews. Now that I'm a YouTuber, Podcaster and Author, I don't have the time  to run the courses myself so I've decided to put everything I know into this Online UCAT Course.

The UCAT Crash Course Online is a series of 80+ videos with mock questions and worked examples. There's over 6 hours of pure video content, and plenty more if you include the time it'll take you to work through the example questions. I'll teach you the most time-efficient techniques for tackling all four sections of the UCAT.

Some of the videos are available free of charge - feel free to look through those, and if you like my teaching style, I'd love for you to enroll in the course. You'll find the Table of Contents, including the free previews, further down on this page.

All the best for the UCAT, and hopefully see you on the other side :)

What's in the Course?

Getting Started with the UCAT

I'll talk through general preparation stategy, useful resources, tips for time management and advice on how to make the most of the calculator and the whiteboard.

Verbal Reasoning

I'll discuss our 4-step method to approaching VR questions, and the importance of skimming the passage for keywords. I'll then walk through lots of questions, showing how our techniques can save you lots of time.

Decision Making

I'll show you how to tackle the 6 question types, showing you time-saving techniques for each one, and going over several worked examples to put the theory into practice.

Quantitative Reasoning

I'll run through our tips for the common question types like fractions, percentages, ratios, conversions etc. Then I'll work through lots of example questions, highlighting common mistakes and techniques for speeding up.

Situational Judgment

I'll suggest some techniques for tackling the Appropriateness and Importance questions, along with some heuristics/rules of thumb that you can apply to SJ questions during your practice and on test day. I'll end by walking you through several SJ scenarios with how I'd approach them in the test.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this online course and UCAT Ninja?

The UCAT Ninja Training Temple is similar to this in terms of content, but it's in textual form. So it's like reading a textbook rather than watching a series of videos.

Honestly, if you learn fine through a text-based format, then you might just want to stick with Training Temple - it's cheaper and just as comprehensive as this video course.

However, if you think you might learn better from having a teacher like me explaining stuff to you, then you'll probably find this online video course super helpful.

I've already paid for UCAT Ninja but I still want to have stuff explained to me over video. Are there any discounts?

Sorry, there used to be before but since UCAT ninja is only £1 now, there's no discounts. But if money is an issue then just ask for a bursary (see below!)

I've been on your 6med UCAT Crash Course in real life. Is there any point in me paying for this online course?

It's complicated... While the content is broadly similar, this online course works nicely as a companion to the classroom 6med UCAT Crash Course. The problem with the classroom course is that (by design) it's very intense, and we go through a tonne of content in a single day. This can often be overwhelming for some students, and so if you've attended the course but want a reference that you can revisit at your own pace, this online course is perfect for that.

What if I don't like the course?

That's okay. If you don't like the course, just drop me an email within 7 days of signing up and I'll give you a full refund (the Ali Promise). All I ask is that you give me some advice about how I can improve the course.

The Ali Promise

100% Satisfaction Guarantee - Money-Back Promise

I want the investment in these courses to be an absolute no-brainer for you. So, if you watch the video lessons, and still don’t find the course useful, drop me an email and I'll happily refund your full payment within 7 days of purchase. Pretty much no one does as they all (thankfully!) find the courses useful but the guarantee is there for your peace of mind 🙂

Bursaries

Since I started 6med in 2013, we've given out over £200,000 worth of bursaries for our courses to students in financial difficulty.
These online courses are no different - if you'd struggle to pay the price for your medicine application, you can apply for a bursary to cover the cost.
